Drew Eglinton, DMD

Meet Dr. Eglinton

Dr. Drew Eglinton grew up in nearby New Bern, NC and has always had a passion for water sports and the coast. He’s excited to be part of the Leland community, relocating to Wilmington in July 2017.

Dr. Eglinton began his formal education at North Carolina State University in Raleigh earning a Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences in 2009. His education continued at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, where he earned the distinction of Doctor of Dental Medicine. To further strengthen his clinical expertise and knowledge base, Dr. Eglinton completed a 1 year residency in Elizabeth City, NC through ECU’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry certificate program.

Prior to his dental education, Dr. Eglinton spent nearly 8 years in the service industry which afforded him a unique opportunity to interact with a diverse range of populations. He credits this valuable experience to his ability to establish a comfortable rapport with his patients today.

With similar professional interests and philosophy as shared by Dr. Ludwig, Dr. Eglinton has also been a proponent of continued knowledge and training in various aspects of dentistry including Invisalign (certified provider) and dental implants. He fully supports the cause of giving back to his community, devoting many hours of his time to the Mission of Mercy Dental Clinics that provide access to care to people who would not otherwise be able to afford it. These experiences have helped inspire his dedication to patient-centered comprehensive dental care.

Dr. Eglinton is a member of the Americal Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Society.

When away from the office, Dr. Eglinton enjoys the outdoors and sports. Boating and basketball are two of his favorite past-times. He currently resides in Wilmington, NC with his significant other, Patrice, a Physician at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, and the couple’s Golden Retriever, Oskar.
